Descriptif de la visiteDiscover the history of the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, an iconic monument of the city of Lyon, from its construction in the 19th century to the present day. This tour invites you to admire the basilica's majestic interior through its mosaics, sculptures, and stained-glass windows. Follow in the footsteps of architects Pierre Bossan and Sainte-Marie Perrin and absorb the symbolism and spirituality of this site, listed as a Historical Monument.
Please allow sufficient time for transport (possible waiting time at the funicular). The tour will begin at the scheduled time and may be shortened in case of late arrival.
Bus parking is available on Rue Roger Radisson.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Tours available Monday to Saturday and Sunday afternoons (except during basilica celebrations)
- Up to 3 simultaneous group departures (15 people per group). Beyond 3 groups, departures are spaced 30 minutes apart
- Tours available in English, German, Spanish, and Italian depending on guide availability
- Audiophones are mandatory for groups of more than 15 participants (except school groups)
- A lunch room can be booked for school groups upon request
- Free restrooms are available on the basilica esplanade

AUDIO EQUIPMENT NOTICE
If your group is equipped with audiophones, please return with your guide to the Welcome Pavilion at the end of the tour to return the devices. Any unreturned audiophone units will be charged €90 each.
